Hallo Linux- Gemeinde

Nachdem ich in der anderen NG (ger.pc.linux) keine Antwort bekam, probiere
ich es hier auch einmal.

Habe einen alten LAPTOP LT9888 von Medion mit dem Betriebssystem SUSE-Linux
8.1 ausgerüstet.
Das hat nach den üblichen Anfängerschwierigkeiten auch ganz gut geklappt.
Nun habe ich jedoch noch ein Problem das ich, auch nach tagelangem studieren
von FAQ`s und Newsgroup`s, nicht habe lösen können.
Der Treiber für die Netzwerkkarte wird nur installiert wenn die Karte bei
hochgefahrenem Computer aus- und wieder eingesteckt wird.
Erst dann und nach dem Start von KINTERNET komme ich über den
Hardware-Router ins Internet oder kann den Netzwerkdrucker benutzen.Die
Netzwerkkarte besitzt einen REALTEK-CHIP namens 8139. Auch eine zweite Karte
mit dem gleichen Chip brachte das gleiche Ergebnis. Als Treiber ist der
8139too.o installiert. Diverse in den Newgroup`s vorgeschlagene
Einstellungen habe ich schon ausprobiert.

Vielleicht noch ein Hinweis.
Beim Hochfahren wird im Startfenster unter anderem noch die Meldung
angezeigt :
dsl0 <notice> startproc:execve(..........................)insmod
/(..........)/net/8139too.o : init_module: no such device
............. IO oder IRQ error
insmod /(...)/net/8139too.o: insmod eth-pcmcia-0 failed.

Wenn Ihr einen Tip habt, erklärt ihn mir bitte sehr ausführlich, da ich in
Sachen Linux absoluter Neuling bin.

Ich fürchte alt.linux.suse, alt.os.linux.suse und d.c.os.unix.linux.hardware
hast Du schon durch?!!?

Weil ich Dir leider mangels besseren Wissens auch nicht helfen kann... Du
solltest allerdings noch ein paar Angaben zu Deiner Hardware machen, das
erleichtert es den "Wissenden", Dein Problem zu analysieren. Die
Typenbezeichnung von Medion versteht eh keiner ;)
